Aegis and Dentsu Inc. announced they have agreed on the terms of a recommended cash offer for Aegis Group. A General Meeting for Aegis shareholders will take place on 16 August to seek shareholders’ approval on the offer. >

Aegis Media
Aegis is set to acquire leading Chinese digital agency Catch Stone, for an initial consideration of £55.2m. Its capabilities include digital media planning and buying as well as a range of digital marketing services in areas including creative origination and social media. >
Aegis announced it had entered a majority stake joint venture with Chinese technology and digital marketing company, Beijing Adsit Technology Co., Ltd (‘Adsit’). The JV will be known as iProspect China. By integrating all of the performance marketing capabilities of Adsit into iProspect, Aegis Media China will accelerate its place in the fast-growing digital performance marketing segment. >
Aegis has made a RMB 24 million (£2.4 million) strategic investment in leading search firm Pinzhong (Pzoom). The partnership with PZoom will add digital capability and reach, in particular in China’s second tier cities. >
iProspect acquires I Spy to become UK’s largest performance marketing agency. Acquisition brings together leading specialists to create performance marketing centre of excellence and takes iProspect’s search billings to £150m, cementing position as the UK’s top search agency. >

With Africa’s largest B2B portal, BizCommunity as media partner, Aegis Media South Africa uses an online radio platform as the vehicle for the Digibates, which came about from the need to convey the African media marketing debates through real time conversation. >
Aegis Media Italy is relocating to a new office in Milan this month, when three offices will be merged into one. The business will also launch ‘Aegis Media Cares’ with the aim to improve employees’ work-life balance and the impact the business has on the environment, with all energy consumed in the new office being green energy.
