Synovate Healthcare Strengthens Leadership in Oncology

Aegis Group plc ("Aegis") today announces the acquisition of the business of Oncology Inc., a US oncology market research specialist. At 31 December 2006, Oncology Inc. had gross assets of $0.4m.
Oncology Inc. provides oncology treatment information from 100,000 US patients to pharmaceutical, biotechnology and financial companies. Its products include an oncology audit, longitudinal patient tracking and ad hoc oncology projects.
These products are highly complementary to Synovate Healthcare's existing oncology portfolio, including the Global Oncology Monitor. The acquisition will also expand Synovate's US oncologist panel and will bring proprietary data collection software.
